Hi,
I have started my RVD [Revlimid, Velcade, dexamethasone] induction 3 weeks ago and have noticed significant degradation in liver function blood test results.
In addition to RVD, I take Biaxin [clarithromycin] 500mg / day and acyclovir 400mg/day.
My doctor's office did not raise this an alert yet, but I am worried.
I have decided to start induction due to just one lesion in the skull. Otherwise, I have been asymptomatic.
How worried should I be that I may permanently damage my liver, or are these elevated liver function blood test results expected during RVD treatment?

Re: Liver function during RVD induction therapy
I have had elevated LDH, AST and ALT for much of the time since my diagnosis 2 years ago. About 10 months ago, I had a consultation with a liver doctor, and he told me not to worry, at least for now. My AST and ALT have been lower than yours. I would request a referral to an expert.
