Has anyone experienced lip and/or chin numbness while taking Revlimid as a maintenance drug?
Thank you

Re: Lip and chin numbness from Revlimid?
Yes, yes and yes! My husband experienced that when he was on RVD [Revlimid, Velcade, dexamethasone] therapy. It got so bad that he couldn't taste his food causing him not to eat and losing a whole lot of weight.
Once he was taken off the Revlimid that problem disappeared. At first we weren't sure if the problem was from the Velcade or Revlimid. However, we confirmed the Revlimid when my husband's specialist decided he wanted to put him back on it for one cycle and those symptoms returned.

Re: Lip and chin numbness from Revlimid?
Yes, I also had numbness on the chin when I was taking Revlimid at a low dose after my stem cell transplant. That cleared up when I was no longer on that drug. However, I am now again on Revlimid, at a higher dose, but don't have the problem! It is nice not to have that issue again, actually.

Re: Lip and chin numbness from Revlimid?
Thank you very much for your responses! My dad had a stem cell transplant back in August and has been on Revlimid for maintenance. His dose was increased a few weeks ago and they also started him on a steroid. He began feeling the numbness about 2 - 3 weeks ago in the right side of his lip and below his mouth near chin. All on the same side. I can tell it has really been bothering him.
Thank you for taking the time to respond, I will pass your information on to him. God bless

I also have been having this lip and chin numbness, I've been taking Revlimid for 3 weeks. Was very worried but feel a little better knowing I'm not alone.

Re: Lip and chin numbness from Revlimid?
I also had lip numbness while on Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD). It was not bad, just enough to be interesting most of the time, and annoying some of the time. But I assumed it was caused by Velcade since I also have had trouble with peripheral neuropathy in my hands and feet. I thought it was another form of peripheral neuropathy.
So I'm very interested to hear that others have had this side effect while only on Revlimid. I've been on Revlimid maintenance for 2+ years and have not experienced the lip numbness during maintenance.
