Hello All,
I've sat back and watched new post and discussions, posted a question about blood work (18 vials??) and added a response. I was diagnosed just about a year ago after hurting my back. After a 26-year military career I started my new life and career. I was feeling a little fatigued but thought that I just needed to start a work out program again. When my back pain turned out to be 3 compression fractures and a blood test showed hypercalcemia, I was on my way to my new norm.
Thank you for the opportunity to view and share experience with others. My multiple myeloma is mine and I own it! I hope through this site to better understand my condition and embrace my new norm. I'm 49 years old and look forward to what my life's journey has in store for me.

Re: Life's journey with the New Norm
Hello Kully!
As Joy said, a good attitude is a really great start! If I'm anything to go by, you will find it hard to recall the bad times - and there will be enough of those, you can be certain - but to remember all the good times most fondly!
I only "remembered" the bad times during my SCT when someone else mentioned their bad times, but, do you know what? The good times of walking all over the hospital beat those bad times to a cocked hat! The sun always comes out after the storm!
So Kully, dear one, your New Norm can and will bring you great joy!
