Lambda multiple myeloma more aggressive then kappa?

by Tracier on Sat Dec 20, 2014 1:54 am

I have heard from a new multiple myeloma patient that he was told that lambda is harder to treat and considered more aggressive then kappa multiple myeloma, even if it is IgG and there are no genetic mutations. Any long-time lambda survivors out there?

Hi Tracier,

I don't think what you heard is quite correct. See Dr. Landau's comments here:

"Clinical significance of kappa or lambda free light chains?" (forum disc. started Aug 8, 2014)
