Lab test results: RBC Morph with stomatocyte 3+

My most recent CBC showed this entry: "RBC Morph/Stomatocytes 3+. Basophilic stippling present."

I've never seen this on a CBC before, and my oncologist has been on vacation all Thanksgiving week. My online search didn't result in much information (I may not be the best Internet searcher!) Of course, I will put in a call to the doctor next week.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
