Lab comments show 43sgc - what does it mean?

by Castaway on Fri Apr 03, 2015 10:07 am

Hello all,

I just had some labs done and they always come with a comment from the lab. I have had a no gamma globulin spike report since last November. I had had a complete response as of last month.

March 16th I had a stem cell harvest and storage ( I will have the transplant later). I stopped Velcade about 3 weeks prior to the collection and dexamethasone about a week before. Of course I had one high dose of Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide) followed by Neupogen up to and including the day of the harvest. Since then I have not had any treatments up to my latest labs. I will soon start a maintenance with Velcade and dex.

My concern is my latest lab comments. Usually my labs have a comment that will have a "see below note" that I can open and it will give the labs date, ordered by and the note. This last lab doesn't have the "see below note". It just says "43scg", no comment to read.

My lab results are all good except for my wbc count, which is 2.4 (it was at 39 the day of harvest due to the Neupogen).

I did the google thing and really can not find much. Could someone give some insight on this term 43scg?

Thank You, Castaway
