This is from the drug company's own instructions:
Heart problems: Kyprolis can cause heart problems or worsen pre-existing heart conditions. Death due to cardiac arrest has occurred within a day of Kyprolis administration. You will be closely monitored during treatment.
Eric, you are correct, it would be a good idea for anybody on Kyprolis to be assessed for heart problems.

Eric,
The information bluebell quoted is from the patient information on the Kyprolis website; see this page:

Re: Kyprolis clinical trial - heart & travel questions
I have been on maintenance therapies since my SCT 3 years ago. I have what my oncologist called clinically aggressive myeloma. I have had RVD, RPD, and now am on Kyprolis and dex. May have had other things too but can't remember.
I've been on Kyprolis 2 different times. The first when I relapsed from a complete response to SCT in a year while on maintenance therapy, and then after I had gone into remission but relapsed after that when I was on only Revlimid for 6 months. I'm now back on Kyprolis and my markers are going down.
Of all the drugs I've had, it is the easiest on me. The only hard thing is the 2 days in a row of 3-hour i.v.'s. Plus a blood draw on another day. Makes travel hard.
I have found that the 4th day tends to be a down day, especially on the 3rd week. But one day isn't bad. I get blood draws every week.
