First post, new to this. My doctor is on vacation and am wondering if any one can answer my questions.
My Kappa Lambda QNTFL w/ratio came back with Kappa Free Light Chain Quant result flag High at 2.75 of a normal range of 0.33 – 1.94 mg/dL. What is the threshold for an M protein Multiple Myeloma diagnosis? I have no reference info.

Re: Kappa Free Light Chains Quant
Hey there HIghroller,
Not quite sure what you are asking.
It sounds like your Kappa light chain is high. But when you talk about FLCs, what really matters is the overall ratio of Kappa/Lambda, which is probably on the same report you are reading.
You can't diagnose or stage multiple myeloma with just an FLC ratio or an M-Protein level. Many other factors and other test results are needed in addition to those markers. Maybe this might help you better understand the broader picture.
