The Myeloma Beacon is pleased to announce that Dr. James Berenson of the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research (IMBCR) will be answering questions posted to the Beacon forum next week.
As many of you know, Dr. Berenson is a respected leader in the field of myeloma research and treatment. He is a member of the National Institutes of Health and on the scientific advisory boards of the IMF, MMRF, and the LLS, and he is the founder of the IMBCR.
If you have a question you would like to ask Dr. Berenson, just post it in the forum in whichever part of the forum is appropriate -- for example, "Treatments & Side Effects", general "Multiple Myeloma", etc.
Dr. Berenson will be answering the questions in several batches during the week. This means that there may be a day or two delay between when you post a question and when it gets answered. So don't worry if your question is not answered right away!
Both the Beacon and Dr. Berenson look forward to seeing your questions.

Just a quick update for everyone who submitted questions for Dr. Berenson ... We sent along the questions to Dr. Berenson's office early yesterday evening, around 7:00 p.m. Eastern. We forwarded all the questions that had been asked up until that point. As soon as we have the answers, they will be posted individually under Dr. Berenson's name here in the forum as responses in the relevant threads.
We will send along the second batch of questions to Dr. Berenson in another day or two. So there is still time to put together and post additional questions. If you haven't asked a question yet, don't hesitate to post one!

Sorry for the radio silence everyone. We're still waiting for the responses to the first round of questions we sent Dr. Berenson's office. As soon as we get them -- and we hope it will be soon -- we'll post them on the forum.
Feel free to post additional questions that you may have in the forums, all the way through until the end of the weekend. We'll then forward those and other unanswered questions in a final batch for Dr. Berenson to review and answer.

We've received the first batch of answers from Dr. Berenson, and will be posting them throughout the day today. We are also in the process of arranging answers for the remaining questions for Dr. Berenson that were posted through Monday of this week.
We are not fielding any additional questions for Dr. Berenson. However, if Dr. Berenson's answers generate follow-up questions in the same thread where the original question was posted, we will see if we can get additional feedback from Dr. Berenson.
