Ixazomib (MLN9708) side effects

I have just finished the 16 cycles of the induction phase of the MLN9708 (ixazomib) trial that is testing MLN9708, Revlimid, and dex. I had a very good response; however during the last three cycles after day 12, I have experienced painful swollen stiff wrists and hands, like a bad arthritic flair up. Also stiff and painful leg muscles and hives.

I began the maintenance cycle 17 of MLN9708 only, hoping the one drug would be easier to tolerate; however, I am experiencing the same problem after day 12. We are trying some anti-inflammatories to see if that helps, but just started them a day ago.

Has anyone experienced this problem with MLN9708?

I'm having the same side effects at cycle 17.

I have been on MLN9708 as single maintenance drug since cycle thirteen.

Tylenol and Ultram help to some degree.
