Re: Ixazomib (MLN9708) maintenance therapy - clinical trial

by Mickey on Sat Feb 06, 2016 6:31 pm

I was diagnosed in May of 2015, four rounds of induction during the summer months and stem cell transplant in October. On my 100 day checkup, I was informed that I had a complete response and I just started on maintenance yesterday. I am in a trial headed by my specialist at Washington University in St.Louis. I am on ixazomib on days 1, 8, 15, with dex on those days, and daily Revlimid for 21 days. After four cycles, I will either be randomized to the ixazomib for three times a month, or Revlimid for 21 days on 7 days off.

Even though I had a complete response to my stem cell transplant, I figured the added ixazomib was just a little bit more aggressive. I plan on being around for a long time!

Are there any drug interactions with ixazomib (Ninlaro)? Were you advised to not take vitamins or supplements while on this drug?
