I recently read an article about IP6 and was interested if anyone knows more about the impact IP6 can have as a possible treatment of multiple myeloma. Is there any evidence that it works, or doesn't work?
Being a supplement, IP6 is available online for anyone without prescription.

Re: IP6 as a treatment for multiple myeloma?
IP6 has anti-platelet activity, so it may increase the risk of bleeding when used with other anticoagulants or anti-platelet drugs.
There is also a potential link with estrogen-based cancers.
Other than these 2 things, it could help multiple myeloma chemo?

Re: IP6 as a treatment for multiple myeloma?
Ron,
As part of my overall supplement regimen to combat progression to active multiple myeloma, I've been taking IP6 (inositol hexaphosphate) for about 18 months now. I take 3 grams of IP6 along with 1.3 grams of inositol twice a day (if you read the book on IP6 from Dr. Shamsuddin, you will understand why it's important to take inositol along with the IP6 and to pay attention to the ratio of IP6 / inositol). I know of at least one person who has been smoldering for 15 years and has been taking IP6 for much of that time.
Can you say that IP6 is the reason? Hardly. But, I haven't progressed on to to symptomatic multiple myeloma, I'm certainly none the worse for taking IP6 and inositol, and I've never experienced any side effects from it (in spite of the fact that I'm taking a formidable number of IP6 and inositol pills every day).

Re: IP6 as a treatment for multiple myeloma?
I have tried IP6 and it does seem to make my blood pressure go up, so you have to monitor it. If you asked me if it works, the only thing I can tell you is my M-spike went down quickly and I have less bone pain. I take Velcade and just ended only on Revlimid.
Good luck.
Good luck.
