IgG Kappa-faint band

by Ruth on Tue Jun 09, 2015 11:07 am

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to this. I have had high kappa free light chain for some months now. Often accompanied by slightly elevated IgG and low IgM. This last round of testing showed a faint band of IgG Kappa against a dense polyclonal background. I'm wondering if this is a sign of progression into a smoldering condition.

Thanks in advance for any insight. Best to all.

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

What was your diagnosis that led to your free light chain levels being tested regularly? Were you diagnosed with MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance), or were you diagnosed with smoldering myeloma?
