Hyperbaric oxygen (HBOT) & newly transplanted stem cells

by kgkersch on Fri May 15, 2015 9:19 pm

I was looking for the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) on newly transfused stem cells. My wife doesn't have myeloma but maybe bulbar palsy or an autoimmune disorder. She received mannitol and the stem cells.

We are headed to HBOT and transcranial laser therapies. As you all know the insurance didn't cover the costs. We are trying to take every precaution not to hurt what has already been done. I saw your site and the article about hyperbaric oxygen therapy,

Lori Puente, "Stem Cell Collection And Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment," The Myeloma Beacon, Jan 11, 2011

and was hoping even though she doesn't have myeloma that anyone in the forum could give us advice on the HBOT and its effect on these transfused stem cells. Help or hurt?

Thank you for your time. Kris C Kersch
