Hello from New Zealand. My husband (63) has had treatment for prostate cancer this year and as a result of that, tests have now found he has myeloma. To say we were blown out of the water is an understatement, as I'm sure it will have been for you all. He is seeing a specialist at Auckland Hospital just after Christmas. I guess then we will know what we are dealing with. He is very well at the moment. I am the 'researcher' and found this site. I will be reading up all I can. It is heartening to read some positive information here as we deal with the shock of this.
Thanks,
Rose.

Re: Husband, 63, just diagnosed with multiple myeloma
My husband was diagnosed August 2017 at age 61. It also came as a total shock to us. He went in for severe back pain and a few days later we were at the oncologist. We had never heard of multiple myeloma! I am also the researcher. I have found a lot of good information on this site. I really enjoy the columns, too. Best to you!

Thank you both for your reassuring comments. I do appreciate it. I am feeling somewhat more positive after reading the stories of others.
