Re: Elevated kappa FLC & kappa-lambda FLC ratio - meaning?

Hi Cheryl,

It was a blood test. And when I looked at the kappa, it does say free.

Creatinine is 0.95. Others are in normal range. So I'm a little mystified, mostly because I want to know if I should add the Velcade or just stay on Revlimid / dex.

I'm going to retest these, for sure, but I'll have to ask him, do it now or wait till the Revlimid cycle is done. I'd really like to do it now, as this high kappa number is making me uneasy. But with everything else in my blood and bone marrow good (sorta of, relatively), not sure.

Good news!

He says everything looks great, and even though the kappa light chain is high, I am non-symptomatic, so all good.

I'll stay on Revlimid / dex and get a new SPEP test and free light chain test.

So yeah!! :D
