Hello to all of you, I hope you are fine!
Four months ago I had my check ups and my ESR was 39 millimeters/hour (normal range: 0-30) and for my hematologist was not something to worry about. Now my ESR is 98 and still my hematologist said nothing about it.
Should I be worried about It or is normal for being with smoldering myeloma?

Re: High ESR - should I be worried?
Hello Ana--my mother's ESR also reached quite high numbers at some point (around 100). We have been told that it is a non-specific marker; that is, it can be elevated due to reasons other than myeloma, so they do not seem to take it as a sign of progression. In fact it does fluctuate quite a bit in our case. Hope this helps!

Thank you Smyrna.
Yes, you may be right, it may be not a specific marker. But even before diagnosis of smoldering multiple myeloma, I have had ESR 39, 40, 70 — never in the normal range, and I am only 26 years old
