Hernias and RVD maintenance therapy

by Meatwheel on Sat Oct 01, 2016 2:35 pm

I'm wondering how much of a connection exists between Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD) maintenance therapy and an inguinal hernia. Are multiple myeloma patients more at risk?

Hi Meatwheel,

Are you on RVD maintenance and did you experience the sort of hernia you described? If so, is there anything in particular that makes you think the hernia may have been related to the maintenance therapy?

Yes, I'm on maintenance and have a hernia. I wonder if hernias are more common among multiple myeloma 60+ patients than the rest of the population.
