Hello
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma one week ago today. I am still in shock. I am a 39 year old married pre-K special needs teacher with two children, ages 7 and 5. I am blessed to have a great circle of family and friends that have helped me to keep it together these past 7 days. I wish none of us had to be in this forum.

Re: Hello
Hello, Trhose.
It is always hard to read about anyone being diagnosed with myeloma, but it is particularly hard to read about someone such as yourself who is still relatively young and has young children.
I am very sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but I am glad you came here to share your questions and experiences and learn from everyone else here at the Beacon.
I wish you the best of luck as you start this difficult journey. I will hold off on offering any advice to you at this point except to say that I think you have taken an important first step by trying to educate yourself more about multiple myeloma.

Thank you for your response, TerryH,
I have a feeling that I will be on this forum quite a bit.
