Can stem cell transplant patients who work in the health care field return to work as a caregiver? I am an RN who enjoys taking care of the my patients.
I have already been told by my employer that I can't return to my position in the special care nursery since I don't have immunity to all the childhood diseases. My transplant team has told me not to have another live vaccine, ever.
I wonder if it is really a good idea to work in a setting where our clients are sick. What types of positions could work for people like me?
