Haploidentical stem cell transplant

Has anyone had a haplo­iden­ti­cal stem cell transplant or know anything about it?

Well no knowledge anyone. I thought for sure the brains trust would come up with something. No mind. I am on a bit of a high right now. I just found out that one of my siblings is a 6/6 match and my two other siblings are haplo matched.

What does that mean? Well, in the future I have options. Amazing. Just though I'd share.

It's funny how what makes you high changes after diagnosis. I repeat, wow! Exciting.

My son is a half match for my daughter and she was considering an allo transplant with him as donor.

She could not have the transplant because her body was in such bad shape from relapse, different drugs which did not work, and& radiation for plasmacytomas. It is still on the table of choices, but right now she is doing a trial at Penn in Philadelphia. Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philly, and John Hopkins in Baltimore, do haploidentical stem cell transplants.

Sorry I could not give you any info about the actual transplant.
