Hi All,
Would appreciate some advice. Hubby was stage 3 - underwent stem cell transplant, etc, and has been doing well lately. He is just on maintenance with very little trace of M-spike. He sees his doctor monthly and he seems happy.
Anyway, he has developed what seems like bad flu this evening (it is now 10 p.m. in Australia). He has a fever of 39 degrees Celsius (102.2 F) which doesn't appear to be coming down with meds. He has a nasty sounding cough. He doesn't look good but is still walking around to the toilet, etc., and talking normally.
Because of his multiple myeloma, I'm just not sure if I should take him to hospital or wait it out until the morning like I would for the rest of the family. He obviously doesn't want to go. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks in advance for advice!

Re: Should I take husband to hospital due to possible flu?
I am not an expert, but I would err on the side of caution and take him. Can you call some calling service for your doctor and leave a message to have him call you to direct you?
