Gamma globulin levels in MGUS

Hi everybody,

Dose gamma globulin also go up when you have MGUS?

It depends on where your M-spike resides (gamma region, beta region, etc) and how big your M-spike is. Most folks with a monoclonal gammopathy have an M-spike in the gamma region, so therefore their gamma globulin level will increase as their M-spike increases.

My M-spike happens to live in the beta region of the overall spectrum of globulins. So, in my case my gamma globulin level is normal, but my beta globulin level is high.
