Frequent urination as side effect of myeloma treatment?

by MrPotatohead on Sat Feb 15, 2020 11:59 am

Is frequent urination – especially at night – a common side effect of multiple myeloma treatments?

For some time I’ve had to get up as much as ten times at night, and that hardly makes for a good night’s sleep!

My oncologist referred me to a urologist, who could find nothing wrong to account for it, and my primary care doctor does think it’s a side effect of treatment.

I am currently on Empliciti (elotuzumab), Ninlaro (ixazomib), and Pomalyst (pomalidomide).

Hi Mr. PH,

Are you hypercalcemic? Hypecalcemia can cause one to urinate frequently.
