We have a confirmed diagnosis of IgG kappa multiple myeloma, completed induction therapy, and are about to begin the stem cell transplant process.
Can anyone tell me what this means?

What does your serum immunofixation test say? This sounds like you might have a couple of different M-spikes, which can happen with novel agent treatments and/or stem cell transplants. Generally, this is not a bad thing. If they are both IgG kappa spikes (your immunofixation test results will tell you this) that are hanging out in different globulin regions (gamma and beta), then I believe they are still considered to be parts of the same clonal line and overall M-spike (confirm this with your onc). Again, this is generally not a bad thing.
The "anode side" of a globulin region (alpha1, alpha2, gamma, beta) is the left side of that region as you look at an SPEP graph. The anode side of the gamma region is right next to the beta region.
