Prior to being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, among my other symptoms I noticed a large amount of froth or foam in the commode when I urinated, possibly from the extra calcium being excreted.
It has been 18 months or so since my successful BMT. I am now experiencing fatigue and once again notice a lot of foam in my urine. I was supposed to see my urologist last month for a regular follow up exam. Unfortunately, my doctor has relocated and the cancer center he worked at has not contacted me (as promised) to reschedule and assign another hematologist / oncologist.
I will call for an appointment, but am just curious if I should be concerned that the excessive foam, along with fatigue, may indicate I am no longer in remission.

Re: Are foamy urine and fatigue signs of relapse?
You are right that foamy urine could possibly be a sign of hypercalcemia. And fatigue could be due to anemia. BUT, just as easily, these symptoms could be due do a lot of other factors NOT associated with multiple myeloma and may not necessarily be linked to CRAB.

So, I would suggest trying not to be too "concerned" (I know that's easier said than done), but rather just using this as a reason to be on the safe side to get a set of follow-up lab tests.

Re: Are foamy urine and fatigue signs of relapse?
It was in my case. Tight foam was the first thing that caught my attention before my first diagnosis. I didn't make the connection however until later. I began a relapse 4 months ago and the first clue was excess foam in my urine and an overall loss of energy that I wouldn't really call fatigue, but close.
