Feeling cold while taking Revlimid

by Marilyn on Fri Apr 15, 2016 10:24 pm

Has anyone experienced feeling cold while taking Revlimid?

Finished my first month of taking 25 mg of Revlimid and 20 mg of dex.

Let me know if anyone has experienced this side effect. My body temperature seems to fluctuate. No indication of fever. I also take thyroid meds for hypothyroid condition.

Hello Marilyn:

Yes I have experienced both extremes - sometimes on same days - mostly in sleep. Too cold to require blanket and too warm that I am profusely sweating.

I am in twelfth cycle of Revlimid and dexamethasone. My first cycle was Revlimid 25 mg and dex 40 mg. Dex was reduced to 20 mg from second cycle and further reduced to 16 mg from ninth cycle.

I hope it helps.

Thanks. I skipped taking my 325 mg of aspirin for a couple a days while off of Revlimid. After taking my aspirin, I felt much better. I will start my next cycle of Revlimid next week.

Thanks again.

Since my husband started treatment in May 2015 – 6 cycles of Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD and then an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) – he gets cold more easily. I don't remember if it happened during induction, but definitely post-transplant, he gets cold more easily than he used to.
