I am very sorry to read this. Eric always posted informative posts. He will be missed. Please update when the memorial is in Dixon as I live an hour or so away and would be interested in attending.
My condolences to his family.

Re: Eric Hofacket
My condolences. It's always discouraging to lose another forum member to multiple myeloma.

Lisa, I am so very sad to hear this. My heart goes out to you for your enormous loss.
I am new in my myeloma journey, still learning and aspiring to the knowledge and courage Eric had. There are some posters here I read most eagerly, and Eric – unbeknownst to him – was one of them.
He'll be missed by you, family, and close friends most of all, but also by many he never even knew.

Re: Eric Hofacket
Oh no!
I am so sorry to hear about Eric. I learned a lot from his postings and came to feel like I knew him a little bit through what he shared with us. He exemplified the best qualities of Beacon forum posters with his knowledge, his ability to communicate that knowledge in a way that others could understand, and his way of doing all of that in a caring, compassionate manner.
We will miss Eric.
Please accept my condolences for your loss, Lisa.

For Lisa and Eric's family:
Eric helped others with his posts even though he was very ill himself. He is missed on this forum, and I am very sorry for your loss.
I hope that the wonderful memories of the time you shared together will help to sustain you at this time.
Sincerely, Nancy

Re: Eric Hofacket
I am so sorry for your loss, Lisa and Eric's family. Eric was so knowledgeable regarding myeloma, but as another poster said, he never acted like he "knew it all." His postings to the board were, in many cases, remarkable, and despite his own condition, he always took the time to provide information and insight to others. His spirit exemplifies the best of the Beacon, and he will be so missed, for his intellect, contributions and compassion for his fellow patients.
We will always remember him. When I was first diagnosed in 2014, his posts were one of those I followed religiously, and continued to do so during the last two years.
Again, my condolences. May your memories of him provide comfort in the days to come.
Sincerely,
Ellen Harris
