I am jumping the gun here. I went to a doctor because I just had shoulder surgery and now my hip is killing me. They said I need a hip replacement now. I had extensive labs drawn because of my joint pain. It seems out of nowhere that I am falling apart. The rheumatologist did all my labs and every single one came back clean except one.
IFE, PE, and FLC
Even on this report, everything except "lambda" is normal. Lambda's normal range is 32-156 (mg/dL), mine is 181 and highlighted in red.
The kappa-lambda ratio normal range is 1.3-2.7 and mine is 1.4.
I am an alarmist, so obviously this is terrifying to me. What does this mean?

Re: Elevated lambda level found, have shoulder & hip issues
Assuming your serum immunofixation (IFE) results were normal and did not any indicate the presence of a monoclonal protein, you very likely are not suffering from a plasma cell disorder such as myeloma. If the IFE is indeed normal, then your slightly elevated lambda level could be due to something as simple as inflammation or infection. But of course, you should verify all this with your doc.
