DT PACE and refractory myeloma

by dw58 on Mon Feb 20, 2012 7:38 pm

Hello everyone,
This relates to my previous post from a few days ago. I'm currently considered a refractory myeloma patient. Diagnosed approximately 4 years ago. I've run the gauntlet of all the novel therapies and their combinations. Have not had a transplant. I continue to have a great deal of bone destruction--undergoing another round of radiation to another rib and L humerus starting this week. My oncologist's next plan of attack is one cycle of TD PACE (this is an abbreviaton for six medications including thalidomide and decadron) followed by a ASCT. Does anyone have any experience with TD PACE regime as a refractory patient? I'd like to get more info on TD PACE--it's effectiveness, toxicity etc--- better than VCD? Thanks in advance for any response!
