Re: Drug Help
Hi CM,
Where are you located? Most support groups are local. Although there may be a few online groups.
Here are a few programs that will help with drug costs:

Re: Drug Help
Fred, I have heard that the Chronic Disease Fund is really helpful. I'm considering applying for help from them. Does anyone have any experience with them?
CM, here are a few more patient assistance programs that I'm aware of. These aren't drug reimbursement programs, but they may be helpful anyway. The first two help with the cost of airfare to and from treatment, and the second is a home cleaning service for cancer patients.

Re: Drug Help- Revlimid US $450 or $10,000?
I am a multiple myeloma patient who was lucky enough to have health insurance for my RX.
But I read that many do not have insurance. Celgene charges about $10,000 per month for my Revlimid, but I see there is a company from India called NATCO Pharma that sells the "equivalent" of Revlimid in Canada for about US $450 for a month supply. All this needs to be researched as to quality control etc. but it could be a lead for the uninsured patients. I know internet drugs can be very questionable, but NATCO seems to have a 10 year history as a generic drug manufacturer. So it at least should be closely researched- it could be a scam or could be an alternative. Ask your doctor or phamacy for starters. And if NATCO is not making the real deal, why is Celgene suing NATCO over patent rights??? Links below.
This is not a recommendation, just an academic discussion.
