Do I Have Multiple Myeloma

by sharaby03 on Thu Jun 20, 2013 4:00 pm

I did a MRI on my brain and spine, both came back normal, except the spine showed a minimal Osteophytosis.

I did Blood checks,

Total Protein 7.2
Serum Albumin 4.0
Globulin 3.2

Kidney Estimated GFR 64.2

Serum Creatinine 1.5
Serum Uric Acid 5.3
Blood Urea 33 MG

My hemoglobin 13.2
RBC ( Red Blood Cells ) 4.7
WBCs ( White Blood Cells) 10.5
MCH 28.4
MCHC 30.3
HCT 46.8

CRP Negative 4.3

I Don't know after I quit smoking cigarettes I just feel fatigued and can't really swallow what I eat comfortably. I have Constant head pressure when I walk or even relaxing, like front base of my skull. No pain just pressure. My hand bones seem pretty stiff and tight. I Don't really have bones that hurt but they do get pretty stiff. I'm not really active at all. Thoughts? I was thinking about doing the Beta 2 Microglobulin, the IGg IGa IGm IGe IGd and the free light chains test.

After I quit smoking I had series of Panic attacks and was very weak. I barely had anything to eat for like 2 weeks. Maybe thats why I became slightly anemic. Its just weird thinking I have Multiple Myeloma. God Willing I don't

Nothing from those results would specifically suggest that you have multiple myeloma (or even anything else). I would talk to your doctor(s), and proceed from there.

(Just my two cents.)

Dear sharaby03,

I agree that these symptoms and your lab results are not characteristic of multiple myeloma. I would recommend that you see your primary care physician or a rheumatologist to review your symptoms and determine the best path forward.

Good luck!
