DKN-01 side effects; pain from shingles

Hello

My mother in law has been in remission for about a year now , she had the shingles and was told about the myeloma all in the same week. She had the stem cell transplant. All worked out fine

It's been about a year now that she stopped taking Revlimid, but her doctor recently told her that her myeloma counts are rising and there was some treatment they want her to try called DKN-01.

Doing some research myself I was wondering if you would know of any such side effects while ushering this treatment, also when having the shingles it left her with nerve damage in her knee. She's tried all kinds of pain melds and nothing seems to help.

I was hoping you can help with some answers.

Hello Amelia,

Because DKN-01 is still in the very early stages of testing as a treatment for myeloma, very little is known about the potential side effects it may have. In fact, the trial your mother-in-law may participate in is designed in part to determine what sort of side effects the drug may have and how serious they are.

Note that the drug also apparently is known by the codename LY2812176.

What treatment(s) did your mother-in-law have before her stem cell transplant? And is your mother-in-law being treated in the U.S. or somewhere else?
