Can someone please describe to me the difference between the two types of bone lesions -- lytic (osteolytic) and focal? How do you know which types you have? How do you stop the "dangerous" tumors from destroying larger holes in the bone such as the skull?
Thanks!

Re: What is the difference between lytic and focal lesions?
From a recent MB article: Focal lesions are areas of abnormal cells in the bone marrow; they are not lesions in the outer (hard) area of the bone – lesions which are often called “lytic lesions.”
