Re: Diana and Darzalex (daratumumab)

Hey, hey. Second try yesterday, and all went pretty well.

Of course, having taken all five dex pills the day before, plus the Benadryl and the steroid, then not getting the Darzalex but getting the Zometa left me a little, er, roller-coaster weepy the next morning when I had to do the whole thing again, but even so, I made it.

My blood pressure didn't even go up much.

On the other hand, do you know that when I take that much Benadryl, time slows waaaaaay down, I lose my consonants, and knitting a row takes fooorrrreeeeveeer? For the first time in this process, I slept. Not all the way through, but for an hour or so.

Now. all that Benadryl makes my legs feel like they have fallen asleep and are just attempting to wake up. Zometa gives me some intense bone pain for a day or three, and I get more than a little nauseated. None of these side effects, by themselves. mess me up all that much, but you add them all together and I just went to bed when I got home and let everybody else in the family fend for themselves.

Even the dog felt sorry for me. Now if he would just stop expressing that by licking my toes....

Ah, well, we all have those days.

This morning, except for some mild joint pain (Zometa) and an intense yearning for a Starbucks iced green tea latte with one sugar and someone else to make breakfast, I'm fine!

Hey. since I have to go to Starbucks anyway, and I got paid, I think I'll go see what McDonald's has for breakfast. Problem solved.

Am I ingenious, or what? Now if only I didn't have to get the car registered today, there's a sale at Jo-Ann's and my calendar says I have to finish my daughter's yellow quilt top.

Oh. dear. Happy Wednesday, everybody!
