Diagnosised April 13th and in chronic constant pain

by ka1222 on Wed May 11, 2011 11:46 am

My fiance was diagnosised on April 13th, 2011 and is in chronic constant pain. He has been taking Hydrocodone with Tylenol in it and Oxycontin. They have switched his meds. several times with no relief. At mondays doctor visit, he switched him again to Oxycodone instead of the Hydrocodone with Tylenol along with the Oxycontin. The doctor is worried about his kidneys. He just can't get any control over the pain situation. It is in his lower back area and really bad in his right chest and shoulder. He had his 5th chemo treatment on monday, so hopefully he'll start feeling some relief soon. He's taking Velcade and Dex and Revlimid then Zometa once a month.
I would love to talk to someone who is in the same situation. Please respond if you've experienced alot of pain and let me know what's work for you.

Thanks,
Karen
