Dendritic cell vaccines for multiple myeloma

by Ellen Harris on Sat Aug 16, 2014 10:50 am

Has anyone participated in a trial for an experimental dendritc cell vaccine to cure/control multiple myeloma? I know there was an article in the Beacon in 2011 with regard to a specific patient who was successfully treated with this modality (link).

If anyone has additional info on this I would appreciate it. I have done some research and apparently there has been some success in treating advanced melanoma with this type of vaccine. Thanks in advance for any leads.

Hi Ellen,

Here is one trial:

"Blockade of PD-1 in Conjunction With the Dendritic Cell/Myeloma Vaccines Following Stem Cell Transplantation," Phase 2 trial (status: ongoing, but not recruiting participants).
