Wow...thanks for the warnings. We are at Day 4. His numbers have started to drop. He is feeling a little more nauseous, but still eating relatively well - breakfast, lunch, dinner. They have been giving him Neuprogen shots something that they did not tell us initially would be the case. His biggest side effect - TIRED! He has been sleeping about 20 hours today. I have to say that I am sad to see a man that worked out 4 days a week, worked, played with his son and have time for his wife have to be in the bed all day. I cry inside for him.

The doctors say that he will feel gradually worst over the next few days. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop...

My prayers are with you LadyLib...and today is exactly one month away from getting started on my own SCT journey.

kjpoppit...I am going to Seattle as well! I really like the Fred Hutchinson folks. Trying to get in at the Pete Gross House, but probably will be staying at SCCA House.

@Standing Tall We will probably be there at the same time. I say probably as I was only given an estimate of 2 to 3 months CyBorD treatment and I am almost done with 2 months. Still waiting to talk to my Doctor as usual about my last myeloma labs but I think they are looking good. I am not sure where I would be staying. I'm not sure which place I would prefer to stay yet if I can get a pick of which one. I wish there were more photos or I had toured each place when I was there last.

We certainly have an interesting journey ahead.

Today, Day 5 is basically the roughest so far. He had to have hydration and a transfusion. He stayed at the transplant clinic for about 5-6 hours. His white count is down to .6. So, his numbers are tanking. He has really bad diarrhea as well. They tested it to ensure that he is free of infection. We will find that out tomorrow. He had Ensure twice today, and 2 other light meals. Keep us in your prayers. I am sharing this information to hopefully help someone else to prepare. We are also still getting Neuprogen shots daily.

I really appreciate these updates, LadyLib. Thanks so much for posting them. They really do a great job of giving a sense of what the transplant process is like.

I hope your husband's worst days are over and that his recovery goes very smoothly from here forward.
