My husband is scheduled for week 7 of Darzalex on Friday. He is also scheduled for a Zometa infusion that day. The cancer center said there would not be a problem with him getting these on the same day, but I am wondering if it would be better to split them up to different days, say on his Pomalyst off week. If he gets the Zometa on Friday, this means he will have Darzalex, Pomalyst and Zometa all on the same day.
Does anyone know more whether it is okay to have Zometa and Darzalex infusions on the same day, and whether this is common or not?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Re: Darzalex & Zometa infusions on the same day?
My husband gets Zometa every 3 months and Darzalex monthly. He always does it during his Darzakex visit. In fact, all the hydration helps alleviate side effects he had with Zometa. He also takes Pomalyst 2 mg.

Re: Darzalex & Zometa infusions on the same day?
Hello DaleJC,
On October 29, 2019 I commenced a new four-drug treatment regimen of Darzalex, Kyprolis, Pomalyst, and dexamethasone. In addition, November 6, 2019, I received my monthly 3.5 mg Zometa infusion. Three days prior I had to self-administer 3 Granix (tbo-filgrastim, similar to Neupogen) infusions (480 mcg) to boost my white blood cell count. I did not experience any adverse side effects with receiving Zometa and Darzalex the same day. But, multiple myeloma is a very heterogeneous disease. While I handled it well, others may not.

Re: Darzalex & Zometa infusions on the same day?
I did it every time (the Zometa and Darzalex infusions on the same day). It was considerably more convenient, and though I did have the usual Zometa side effects, they weren't any worse for having the infusions on the same day
Strictly anecdotal and personal evidence, this, but hey, all clinical trials are collections of individual experiences, yes?

I never had a problem with both on the same day.
