Dandelion root tea for multiple myeloma?

by Duchess of Pain on Tue Feb 09, 2016 8:04 am

Came across this today:

"Can dandelions kill cancer?", Global News (Canada), Feb 16, 2012 (full text of article)

Has anyone tried it? Alone or with chemo?

Morning

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Ontarian,

From the quick glance I had at the report, it appears that not enough of the active ingredient makes it past the boiling process used in the preparation of tea.

Check with your haematologist or your hospital's onco-pharmacist. If he/she says they have no concern with you drinking dandelion tea, then drink up.

I've been on chemo for nearly two years and I drink dandelion tea every day. I didn't realize it could have impact on the cancer. I drink it for the effects it has on the kidneys.

I also take dandelion tea every day. I also take turmeric concoction, baking soda concoction, and have moved to vegetarian diet with no salt and no sugar. No alcohol as well. This all in addition to my Revlimid plus dex and Zometa. I just assume that other alternates might be helping.

Thank you.
