What scares me, other than everything just mentioned, is how he will be able to resume chemo with everything else he is dealing with now? His oncologist told us a few weeks ago if he doesn't resume he will get sick very fast. The prognosis looks so grim right now.
His multiple myeloma was considered low risk a few months ago when diagnosed. There is no kidney involvement and plasma cells were only 3%. He has 4 tumours and the one on his head did not shrink after 5 rounds. He's now gone four weeks without treatment. He seemed ok before starting treatment, but now all of this.
Has anyone experienced this and come out of it to resume treatment?
If he needs open heart surgery this will mean a very lengthy recovery time, which means no treatment. We are also afraid for him to even resume. It literally put him closer to dying than the actual cancer did.
Feel worried and helpless.
