dad has multiple myeloma
Hi Everyone. I'm a new member writing on behalf of my dad, who was diagnosed about a year ago. His story is very similar to new member jpecchia's regarding where in his body the damage occured. My dad has completed treatment but still has pain in his upper back because the vertebrae were pretty much destroyed. He used to be 6'2" but is now about 5'10 because he can't straighten his back. He has had a procedure done where cement is placed between the vertebrae but any benefit was minimal. The bending over causes him pain as does the compression of bone on his nerves. He was such an active, healthy man who is now resigned to living in pain. I'm hoping someone might know of a doctor or treatment that would address my dad's problem. Thank you.
