I've recently been "upgraded" to smoldering from MGUS. Over the past month I've been taking 8 g of curcumin daily. On my last blood check, my WBC dropped from 6.2 to 4.1 in a matter of 2 months (all directly post my starting curcumin).
I've read that curcumin can suppress your immune system. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience with curcumin?

Re: Curcumin and white blood cell (WBC) counts
I also am curious as to whether the curcumin has lowered your WBC. My husband is also newly smoldering but his WBC is only 4 to start with. I was thinking of having him begin curcumin. I would like to hear if anyone else has had an experience similar to yours. May I ask what brand you are taking?
I ran across this study of 2 patients that had good results from curcumin but their WBC counts were not mentioned. I am thinking of studying some of the bibliographical references that were given at the end of the study:
Golombick, T., et al, "Long term use of curcumin in two smoldering multiple myeloma patients," Journal of Hematological Malignancies, Feb 18, 2013 (full text)
Thank you for sharing.
