After a very good response to initial RVD therapy with 8 grams curcumin per day, I elected to go to transplant (auto). The curcumin dose has been very well tolerated and (I believe) has been a very positive adjunct with nothing but positive efficacy.
After going to transplant, I agreed to suspend the curcumin dose until day +30 and this seemed to agree with potential apoptosis risk of stem cells.
So my question for the group is: Has anyone added curcumin back post transplant as part of Revlimid maintenance therapy? What dose? Results? Warnings? Timing?
Any feedback appreciated.

Re: Curcumin / Revlimid maintenance post transplant
No responses were received to my initial post, so thought I would post a status update.
I met with my transplant doc who gave me the go ahead to restart curcumin after 30 days post transplant, which I did. I am taking 8 grams per day in two doses. It's Doctor's Best 1 gram tabs with bioperine. Also started Revlimid maintenance with 25 mg per day for now and will reduce to 10 mg after 3 courses.
Unfortunately, there is not any real guidance regarding curcumin dose, etc., so your mileage may vary.
Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for a healthy New Year!

Re: Curcumin / Revlimid maintenance post transplant
I have not had a SCT, but was on a CRD (Kyprolis, Revlimid, dexamethasone) trial for two years and reached sCR. I did not take curcumin during the trial because they did not want it to potentially skew the results.
Since the trial, I have been taking one capsule (500 mg) of Curcu-Gel daily, which is supposedly formulated to provide up to 8x the absorption of other tablets. I was initially not on any maintenance following the trial, and started relapsing about a year later. Revlimid (10 mg) was started as maintenance and slowed progression for about 4-5 months, but then started increasing again. I'm now on 25mg Revlimid plus dex and have been stable for the past 4 months.
The doctor has no issue with me taking the curcumin, and I have not noticed any negative side affects. In fact, I take it as much for its anti-inflammatory benefits (relieves muscle and bone aches) as for its possible anti-cancer benefit.
Truth be told, I'm not sold on its anti-cancer benefits - a lot of theory, but not much significant proof in practice. However, if it does help, I won't complain.

Thanks Kevin J. Another one I've been researching is quercetin for anti-angiogenesis. There are a few studies out there, but not much. Supplements are the Wild Wild West!
