Curcumin and aspirin?

by tm648 on Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:01 pm

I have read that curcumin may interact with blood thinners such as warfarin (Coumadin), but has anybody had any experience taking curcumin with aspirin? I would like to take curcumin, but I take 325 mg of aspirin a day, and am concerned that taking them together might be risky. Thanks in advance!

I am starting my third cycle of RVD next week. I have been taking 4000 mg curcumin daily and one aspirin and have not had any problems. My numbers are looking very good. My platllets are back to normal as well as my Hg..

I am not having any problems but every person is different and who knows what may happen next week. :D

I take 2000mg of Curcumin daily, plus one children's aspirin (81mg?). I've only been doing this for about a month so far, but have had no issues. I'm not on any other treatment at the moment.

I, also, am taking 325 mg of aspirin daily and take 2 g of Curcumin daily. I've been doing this for a few years and have no problems at all with bleeding. I do bruise a little more easily and it takes longer for the bruising to resolve.

I'm not on any myeloma treatment right now. Do I necessarily need a blood thinner? I take 325 mg of aspirin daily for afib.
