Constant nausea / vomitting

by summit on Thu Jun 27, 2013 3:49 pm

Has anyone experienced constant nausea and vomiting, especially in the mornings? It is not going away even with anti-nausea drugs. What are you doing to keep it down and eating?

I use medicinal marijuana and it works wonders but to each there own due to stigma attached ... I don't care one bit and it works 100x better then any pill has for me. What meds are you on?

Hi that's the thing, he is also taking cannabis. It worked a miracle but it's not helping with nausea. Currently he is taking Velcade/Cytoxan and dex.

Try different ways of administering it... I bought myself a "Volcano" vaporizer and it helped with nausea without my throat being burnt. Maybe boil it down in butter strain and make cookies or brownies. You could always try zofran or maybe doctor writes a script for "thc" pills not sure medical name.

I've never been on cytotoxin but I've been on Velcade/ Revlimid and dex for a year now so can't really say. Maybe there's a stronger anti-nausea that I don't know about. I wish it were easy. I'm only 26 and have had this for almost 8 years now..... Gotta try all different remedys and keep an open mind...

Compazine (prochlorperazine) has always worked for me. I still have occasional nausea, even 9 years out from my second autologous stem cell transplant. I always have some on hand to use as needed.
I hope you find something that works soon !!

Backing down on the cytoxan dose or eliminating the cytoxan from the regimen may be necessary. There are many patients in which the 2 drug regimen of Velcade and dexamethasone will be very effective and it is most likely the cytoxan that is causing the nausea.
