Hello everybody,
When I was diagnosed with myeloma, I had kappa proteinuria and kappa proteinemia according to the initial immunofixation of the urine and serum, which was 2 years ago.
Four months ago, I had a stem cell transplantation because the minimal residual disease was elevated from 0.15% to 0.58% with the 8 color flow cytometry. Prior to the stem cell transplantation the immunofixation was positive for an oligoclonal band IgG kappa and lambda.
One and half months after the transplant, the immunofixation became positive for IgG lambda and now positive for IgG kappa.
Could someone tell me what could that mean? Could that be a sign of relapse?
Initially, when I was diagnosed, my serum kappa free light chain results was 7200 and now it is arround 1.98 (under the normal) with normal range the lambda.
Thank you in advance. Best regards
Niki
