I am on my 3rd VRD (Velcade, Revlimid, dex) cycle. The first two, I had no side effects. However the third one, which I got the shot yesterday, now today I have chills and sweats and runny nose.
Is this normal?

Please contact your doctor!! That happened to my husband. He came down with a cold which quickly turned into pneumonia. He is finally returning to work this morning after being home for 3 weeks.
Keep in mind that myeloma lowers your immune system to begin with, and then the treatment for it lowers it further so that you are more prone to infection.

If it were me, I'd pull my latest labs and see what the little buggers tell us ...
WBC's ? RBC's ? Neutrophils ? etc.
I am on low-dose maintenance Revlimid.
I get "the Sweats" 2-3x/ day. Especially after a shower.
I occasionally get a later chill, due to the massive temp "dump", as reflected in the "Sweats".
It is bizarre.
The Pollen / dust content is elevated where I live right now -- due to the Fall season. Could that explain your rhinitis.?
Certainly, If you are running a temp (greater than 101) go see your primary Care Physician.

Any temperature elevated to febrile (greater than 101°F thanks Rneb) you should see your regular doctor or go to an emergency department. While it can sometimes be a side effect from treatment, it can also be the first sign of an infection and there may be no other signs of what's coming.
Melanie is right – you are at high risk of simple infections becoming complicated and need to look after yourself. People without multiple myeloma have more immunity to fight the bugs, but you have joined a special group and, sorry to say, the rules have changed.

Definitely discuss this with you doctor. I have had the same thing going on through cycle II of RVD, but I had these symptoms BEFORE beginning any chemotherapy. My body temp is normal, and I don't feel like it's a cold. Your doctor can figure out if it's a disease symptom, a side effect of chemo, or a complication.
My approach is to observe, report, and let the doctor do the figuring-out.
