My husband recently asked if he would be able to be intimate without protection during chemo treatments. His doctor told him after Day 3, we should be fine. However, we are nervous about that information.
We cannot have children, no risk of that due to my own hysterectomy. Has anyone else had this question arise? Is it safe?

I have wondered about this as well as my husband is on Rev/Dex. If there is enough drug residue in semen to cause birth defects it seems possible that blood counts etc in the spouse could be affected.(See posting about this)
Your Dr says ok after day 3 so I assume your spouse is on a weekly infusion but Revlimid is taken daily.

When you take Revlimid you have to take a survey each month where they tell you no activity without protection if being intimate with women of child bearing age that has her womb as it can cause birth defects. Chance of getting cancer or having any blood related issues from a spouse is zero. My doc considers it therapy (at least thats what I tell my wife)!
