Yes, please, can we have a section for caregivers. I ... we .. are just beginning our journey. 28 years together and I'm terrified. I cry every day when he leaves for work. I have started having a beer before he gets home to calm myself. I don't want to break down in front of him. Treatment with Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD) starts next week.
I live fairly rural, no support meetings. This forum is where I learn, but I also need outlet. Please give us somewhere to vent, to connect with others, who are watching our loved one.

Re: Caregiver Corner
Oh, yes please!
Caregivers have to play to win no matter what the situation or the odds! It is what it is!
The good news is that we can make a real difference in the outcome of our significant others!
I've been playing this game hard for the last 12 months.
The first 3 months I looked at the options. No clean options: bad, really bad, and I ain't going there.
The next 6 months, play to win: Meet all the requirements of a caregiver plus don't let her get sick and no unplanned trips to ER! Period!
The next 3 months, pump her up, push it hard, and when it's all said and done, enjoy the moment!
The last 2 months have almost been fun in a perverse way! I get the lab results on my phone as fast or faster than the attending med folks. And it's fun to hear "Oh wow" or "Amazing" or "Fantastic!"
We are caregivers and we play to win!
